YBAM acts based on the facts and works towards minimum mischief

Monday, 15 October 2012 00:00

The Young Buddhist Association (YBAM) regrets that the recent published articles, questioning the proclamation of YBAM on the misleading teachings from a monk that deviate students from the right path of Buddhism, are exaggerative and nontextual.

YBAM is hence making the clarification that YBAM received the correspondence from the Buddhist society of the university, met with the advisor of the society, family of the affected students and other related parties to clarify the issue before making the public statement. The university is also aware that YBAM is following up on this issue.

Since the incident, YBAM has been following up the incident with various parties, and hopes to ensure this incident causes minimum mischief to the affected parties. Following this clarification, YBAM will stop responding to any criticisms from the public.
